Are you struggling to support your children's spiritual and moral development? Are you interested in how you might transmit values, create rituals to mark life transitions, and share spiritual practices outside of a religious context?
Nearness wants to help you share an open, inclusive spirituality with your family. In this program, we’ll match you into small groups with other parents to explore the rituals, stories, and other family traditions you want to pass on to your children.
Coming in the fall of 2024.
The eight-week program takes place as a series of Zoom calls, during which you’ll walk through exercises that have been developed by experts in psychology, connection, and personal growth.
A discussion and activity guide helps you and your fellow participants take turns leading the group, keeping time so that everyone has the opportunity to contribute.
Take a deep breath. Relax your shoulders. Settle into silence.
Read aloud the Agreements: the perfect tool for collective intention-setting.
Engage with short, inspiring readings, energizing practices, and centering reflection prompts.
Share appreciation for feeling connected, supported, and refreshed as your return to your work.
Feel seen in your authentic self as you share. Experience deep connection as you listen.
Get settled into the program with an introductory overview and make a first meaningful connection with your group.
Bond with other parents over when you have and haven’t felt capable of sharing spirituality with your kids.
Gain clarity on the state of your spiritual development and how you can continue to grow.
Gain clarity on your innermost values.
Take stock of your parenting strengths and help in practicing acceptance over your self-perceived weakness.
Begin to formulate a rhythm of life for sharing spirituality with your family.
